Mario and luigi would be op as heck if they were game canon. If Mario ever became a ghost, just let Luigi make contact with him. We seen that in Mario wonder. Imagine power ups! imagine Luigi with his poluregeist G00 just completely dominating every ghost there, Speaking of, Imagine GOOIGI! He can't be possessed, he can't be tricked, he even can't see hallucinations, He is literally the doom guy to the music box. Don't even get me started on how op extra lives would be, ice flower, boo mushroom, mario 64 ds flower.. What I'm saying is that if this ever happened canonically it would be a spin-off because of how not serious that is to the bros
Not sure if anyone else has said this, but if you liked this game, I think you would really like omori. It has a very similar theme to it. I highly recommend checking it out
